Joel, with some minimal assistance from Todd, has rebuilt the engine in his car. You can see the before (left) and after (right) photos. Some of the parts were taken to a machine shop to be chemical washed and sandblasted. All of the hoses, the injectors, timing gear, water pump, thermostat and sensors were replaced as well as a general cleaning of the internals.

wow! I wish our car looked that spruce on the outside - where you can actually see it - as opposed to under the bonnet ('hood') where no-one but a mechanic ('grease monkey') will see it!
