This is the bay window in the kitchen area looking out to the front yard. A little dark due to the glaring white snow,
We pulled back the carpet on the stairs to find beautiful wood underneath - also look at this railing...it is metal and has such character. We are going to paint all the metal trim black.
The ugly blue room - soon to be painted. The boys are checking it out - right is Kevin, then Joel and 2 of his rooms mates Luke and Peter.
EXPOSED...beautiful floors under the downstairs carpet and the stairs leading up to 2 of the bedrooms. The blue room has sub-floor - so we are getting new hardwoods in there and the entry way and kitchen.
More exposed floors - they had carpets on the parkay floors for 50 years - you can see around the edges where the floor was exposed and needs some love...hopefully we can restore to match the covered floors.
Bedroom 1 in the East wing - this is Joel's room. Will have a double bed in here so guests can stay in here too.
Bedroom 2 in the east wing - my office and Eli's room. Will put the single bed in here.

How many floors does this place have? There seem to be stairs going everywhere.
I agree - you will need a map here and there saying 'you are here'. Mum
It actually has 4 levels - it is a double spilt level - so the main floor goes up to 2 bedrooms and down to the living room - then the living room goes down one more level to the band room/laundry and garage. It has all kinds of stairs and quirky features - but that was one of the things we liked about it. The MAIN level is kitchen, dining/sitting room and master bed/bath - so when necessary Eli can stay on one level and I can avoid stairs.
