Record rainfall...and flooding

We have had a series of severe storms over the last week - so far 12.8" rainfall for June. This photo shows the creek that forms in my backyard when we have intense down-pours. We have had many storms - some dropping 3" in 2 hours. One third of Indiana is underwater from flooding and there is an estimated $250million crop loss.

Dear Leisa

We would not mind if it rains like that in September. After such a long dry spell, one longs for days of rain.

Leisa,
Have just run through about a 72 photo slide show from the Indy Star
(I have it online, just to keep tabs on you), and was very distressed to see the damage, both from the tornado and from the flooding. We thank the Lord that you were not directly involved with either to the extent that I saw some other unfortunates. It will take years for some of them to pick up the pieces of their lives that have been touched by these two catastrophes. Do hope you have had your share for this season.
Love
Aunty Lesle and CoolCol.

Yes, while some of these intense storms were falling, I was in a tent in Canada.

Ever had a river in your tent while camping?
