Draycott Drive Music Hall

Kevin has had one of his bands rehersing here this week in preparation for a gig Saturday night. This is the Cuban Band - Mumbai Taxi.

They started rehersing at 6pm - so Eli got to enjoy an hour of live music right in his own living room! The bongo player is Tony - a native African. He loved entertaining Eli.

Lovely photo, E. You look like you are in seventh heaven. We know how you love music and to have it live in your own lounge room must have been so good.

Leisa, Eli looks well. Has he filled out a little?

Eli has been really well - maybe gained a pound or two but I don't think anything too substancial. It may be the angle - he certainly was happy!

Garry - no Mumbai CD yet. The band formed earlier this year and they are sounding really good now - so they will probably be making a CD soon. I will be sure to get a copy to you. Very cool Afro-Cuban and west Africian rhythms.

You asked about "The Partyline" several blog postings ago.....they are a Blues funk band (I am getting good at I.D.ing all these styles of music!!!). The title of the band is a political pun...towing the partyline and playing party songs. Kevin hopes the band is up for a new name soon.
